The National Democratic Congress, NDC, member of Parliament for the North Dayi constituency, Hon. Joycelyn Tetteh has sympathized with the victims of the flood in Awate Tornu when she paid a visit to the area over the weekend.
Madam Joycelyn, who was in Awate Tornu to offer her sympathy and support to the victims of the flood also paid the hospital bills of a nursing mother whose building collapsed on them and is currently seeking medical attention at the hospital.
She assessed the damages caused by the flood and assured the residents of her timely support.
She urged the victims to take it as an act of God and prayed for God to heal the victims of the incident and grant them a speedy recovery.
While reacting, the residents commended the member of Parliament for the area for the kind gesture.
The member of Parliament and her NDC entourage visited the 18 houses affected by the heavy downpour and pledged their commitment.
She charged the constituents to continue to rally their support behind the NDC, saying the party remains the better managers of the country.
