The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Afram Plains Constituency in the Eastern region, Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah, in the early hours of Monday, August 7, visited some examination centres in the district to wish candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) well and encourage them.
The lawmaker, who was accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Kwahu Afram Plains North, Hon. Isaac Nana Okoree and the District Director of Education toured three centres where she presented some writing materials to the candidates and an undisclosed amount of money to motivate the teachers, also promised a cash reward of Ghc5,000 to any candidate who will emerge as the best performer in this year’s examinations.
Below is the Facebook post by the NDC MP on Monday after touring the examination centres.
This morning together with the District Chief Executive for Kwahu Afram Plains North and the district director of education we visited the three (3) examination centers in the constituency to wish our future leaders the best of luck as they write the BECE.
We used the opportunity to distribute some writing logistics to all students and some undisclosed amount of money to the teachers as motivation.
I have personally promised to sponsor the best student from this year’s BECE with and an amount of 5,000gh to help him or her continue the secondary school education.
It’s my prayer our district becomes the best in this year’s exams.
All the best my dear children, remember the sky is your limit so leave no stone unturned.
