The opposition National Democratic Congress on Thursday ended a two-day workshop for Constituency organizers and their deputies, together with Zongo Caucus Coordinators in the Volta Region.
The training was also open to Volta regional executives of the party.
The workshop had in attendance the National Organizer of the party and some National Executives.
Speaking at the event, the Parliamentary candidate for Hohoe Constituency, Mr. Worlanyo Tsekpo, stated that, “You brought Hohoe on June 4th, and you also brought us this workshop. For what you are doing for us, we will work hard to win back the Hohoe seat for the NDC.”
Mr. Ben Siki Abibu, the Volta Regional Organizer, also noted that, “In recent times, our strongholds have faced challenges. It is time for us to regroup, restrategize, and ignite the fire of determination to capture political power”.
The memory of the late Hon. Dr. Hanny Sherry Ayitey will live on.
This was said by the Volta Regional Secretary, Hon. James Gunu, as he led a team of constituency organizers and Zongo Caucus Coordinators to observe a minute of silence at the workshop held in Hohoe.
Hon. Mawutor Agbavitor, the Volta Regional Chairman of the Party also indicated that, “We are here to come out with innovative ideas for victory in 2024. We have to sack people keeping money in their homes; we will sack nepotism; and we will sack family and friends in government.”
At the workshop held at Hohoe, Mr. Sulleymana Seidu, Akatsi South Constituency Organizer, speaking to Mr. Japhet Festus Gbede, the DFS Live News Volta correspondent, stated that the opposition NDC has learned a lot of lessons and would be able to set adequate priorities for a resounding Victory come 2024 to rescue Ghanaians from the hardship imposed on them by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
He added that the NDC would run issue-based campaigns, noting that as a new administration that has been driven by data, logic, and science from its first day in office, it would further “sit down, draw plans, and follow the plans” to give the party a one-touch victory at every polling station.
As he showed praise for the Johnson Asiedu Nketia-led NDC administration, he was optimistic about the return of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to the Jubilee House.
