The Honorable Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency, Hon Benjamin Narteh Ayiku today June 7, 2023, supported fisherfolks in his Constituency with fish trading equipment and cash.
The equipment he provided included 300 top-quality plastic fish crates, 60 stainless silver basins, and 30 fish trading buckets. These items were given to the fisherfolks to enhance their fishing business.
Canoe owners who had their canoes and other fishing gear destroyed were also given cash support.
The presentation was done at a brief ceremony held at the Teshie fishing beach, Sangonaa.
Present at the ceremony were leaders and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Constituency, leaders and members of the Teshie Sangonaa Canoe Owners and Fishermen Association, fishmongers, and some community members.
In his remarks, the MP thanked the Association for their role and efforts in providing support for all activities at the beach. He assured them of his support anytime they call on him. He later toured the beach to have first-hand information on some activities ongoing at the beach.
The chairman of the Association, Nii Ashai Amarh, was full of praise for the MP for the kind gesture.
