Okaikoi Central constituency was the next in line today as far as the Greater Accra Regional Post Elections Conflict Resolution is concerned. The NDC Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee led by the chairman, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore is leaving no stone unturned as they are making sure they visit all constituencies under their control for post elections Conflict resolution.
The exercise has been very successful as the regional Chairman and his team have been able to resolve several lingering issues among stakeholders at the various constituencies visited so far. Some of the issues encountered during the tour have to do with the normal disagreements that come with running a political organization. Meanwhile, some of the cases need special attention and the REC’s interventions are timely.
Today, 6th June 2023, the tour saw the Constituency Executive Committee, Ward Coordinators, Branch Executives, Elders of the constituency and other stakeholders warmly welcome Chairman Ashie Moore and his team in the Okaikoi Central Constituency. The atmosphere at the meeting was very friendly and positive as all four(4) who contested to represent Okaikoi Central on the NDC ticket come to the 2024 general elections were all wearing smiling faces. It was heartwarming seeing the readiness of the Constituency’s new PC Baba Sadiq, the three(3) other aspirants-Comrade Nadine Issa, Comrade Fred Nii Tetteh, and Comrade Judge Hasford Quartey together with their constituency chair Hon. Lebene Kwame Zankor and the rest of the constituency executive Committee members to embrace peace. Those who are privy to the behind the scene consultations of Chairman Ashie Moore and his team on all factions before the reconciliation meeting is called will not be surprised at how receptive all stakeholders have been at the engagement at Okaikoi Central constituency.
The leadership of the various stakeholders was called on to address their followers and speaker after speaker made sure they called for unity. The newly elected Okailoi Central PC, Baba Sadiq, and all the former aspirants used the opportunity to address their constituency stakeholders. In their address, all of them especially the elected PC Baba Sadiq called for unity and togetherness so as to enable them to win the seat for NDC come 2024 general elections.
Finally, the regional Chairman and his team encouraged all stakeholders at the meeting to make unity their priority to enable produce an MP come 2024.
