The 2020 presidential candidate of the largest opposition party (NDC) H.E John Dramani Mahama has touted the government to act and seek help to avert the imminent national catastrophe which has led us to economic ruin and bankruptcy.
According to the former President of the Republic of Ghana, Ghanaians did not hand over the reins of power to the NPP government to crash the ship of state through empty pride. The NPP government led by Nana Addo and Mahamudu Bawumia has no other sustainable option to cap the menace.
He required from the government a comprehensive debt restructuring to obtain the sort of relief that will give us the fiscal space needed to ease our plight. However, any IMF program should be preceded or done together with discussions with our creditors to restructure our debt.
As a country, we can no longer afford to dither and fiddle while our economy heads for the precipice because the consequence of that will be too grave to comprehend.
H.E John Dramani Mahama advises the president of the republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to keep the ship afloat the same way he met it.
