In fact, the Teranga Lion successfully validated his medical examination yesterday afternoon, before being officially presented today, June 22, 2022. The former Liverpool striker is signing up with the German club for the next three seasons, i.e., until 2025.
After six seasons in the colors of Liverpool, Sadio Mané has become a new Bayern Munich player. His transfer, estimated at 32 million euros + 9 million euros in bonuses, was formalized on Tuesday by the German club.
Here is the statement of Oliver Khan the CEO of FC Bayern Munich: “We are happy to have been able to sign Sadio Mané for FC Bayern. Thanks to his exceptional performances and his great success at the highest international level, he has been a unique and special player”
The African star made Liverpool history with 269 games played, 120 goals scored and numerous trophies won, including the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League the following year.
And in order to thank the supporters of the Reds for their love and the beautiful moments shared, the Senegalese wanted to send them a farewell message via his Instagram account in the wake of the formalization of his departure:
“Hi dear fans!
It’s hard to find the right words for that. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, I’m so happy to be part of this incredible success we’ve had together over the past 6 years.
You have always been there. In good and bad times. I will never forget it. Thanks again.
We never walk alone.
