It’s a Do Or Die,We’re Ready To win Power in 2024- NDC Chairman

The Constituency chairman of the biggest Opposition party, NDC, in the Dome/Kwabenya Constituency has given an indication of the Party’s preparedness to win the 2024 general elections. In an exclusive interview 30mins with DFS Live News , Hon. Nii Lantey Lamptey touched on the various topical issues in the party, with a focus on his Constituency, addressing a wide range of issues.
THE PARTY’S PREPAREDNESS
Mr. Lamptey assured the party’s members and sympathizers that the NDC is working its way back to power in 2024 with a carefully thought out Reorganization process. “I’ve heard some party members express concern about the timeline for our reorganization and I can understand their concerns. See, we don’t want to rush things because we’ve learnt a lot of lessons from the previous elections and I can assure you that we’re going to have the most formidable reorganization in recent times when we finally wrap up. It’s not going to be a kid’s play and we’ll be more than ready to capture power from this non performing NPP govt. It’s a do or die, my brother”, Lamptey stressed. The party has embarked on what it calls ‘Reorganization’ and it’s not clear what timeline exists for the process.
DOME/KWABENYA IN FOCUS

Asked on the general activities and mood of the party in his Constituency, the visibly cheerful Constituency Chairman painted a bright outlook, saying ” we’re just calm and focused as executives in our duties. The party has not allowed room for open campaigns and all the 199 branches and their various executives are focused on the task ahead of us”.
On the party’s internal wranglings, Hon Lamptey laughed of the inaccurate reports by some media outlets. ” Some of these stories are sometimes exaggerated by you in the media. We’re getting ready for our internal elections and so these agitations and in-fighting are sometimes inevitable but it’s about how we handle it. We have so far shown that we in this Constituency can stand the toughest times”.
ON MAHAMA RETURN
With clear indications of former president John Dramani Mahama returning to lead the NDC to the 2024 polls, we sought the view of the Constituency chairman who was widely known to have campaigned for for the former president in his bid to lead the party for 2016 and 2020 elections. ” Hahaha look, it’s no secret that I was all over the place campaigning for JM to be elected as our flagbearer even when he had not expressly declared his intention. He still looks like our best man for the job and our members and sympathizers will not forgive us if we don’t win this election”
The Constituency is the largest in voter population in the last general elections with the party under his leadership recording an impressive voting results. Mr Lamptey attributed this showing to effective strategies put in place by his team and the hardwork of the members.
